The National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association is conducting a national online survey of officer involved shootings involving pistol-mounted red dot sights. This 5-10 minute survey is designed to collect data on pistol and sight characteristics, pre-incident and training information, incident details, and performance.
Local, state, and federal law enforcement who have been involved in (or investigated) on or off-duty shootings in which pistol-mounted red dot sights were used are encouraged to participate. This includes officers involved in the shooting, an investigator who conducted the post-shooting investigation, or the agency firearms instructor with a comprehensive knowledge of the shooting.
